Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Workado LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, which operates ShowShot. "We" and "us" mean Workado LLC. Creating an account or using the service means you accept them. If you are using ShowShot for an employer or a client, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on their behalf.
The short version. Your recordings stay yours and we do not train on them. Do not record people, clone voices, or use faces without permission. AI output needs your review before you publish it. The service comes without a warranty.
1. What ShowShot is
ShowShot records your screen and camera, gives you an editor for what you recorded, and hosts a watch page where other people can see it. It also offers AI features that write, edit, narrate, or generate footage, and features that let viewers respond. Capabilities change as the product develops.
2. Your account
- Use an email address you control and keep your details current.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- An account belongs to one person. Team plans give each member a seat.
- You must be at least 13 and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been taken.
3. Your content
You keep every right you already hold in the recordings, uploads, and text you bring to ShowShot. To operate the service you give us permission to store, process, encode, and deliver that content to you and to the people you share it with. The permission exists only to run the product and ends when you delete the content, apart from backups that clear on their normal schedule.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not license it to anyone else. We access what is inside your projects only when you ask us for support on a specific problem, or where the law requires it.
You confirm you hold the rights to what you record and upload, including any music, footage, brand, or person that appears in it.
4. Recording other people
Recording law varies by country and by state, and many places require every participant to consent before a call is recorded. Obtaining that consent is your responsibility. ShowShot gives you tools to record and to blur sensitive material, and neither tool is legal advice or a defense.
5. Voices, faces, and likeness
These features exist because they are useful, and they are also the easiest way to cause real harm to someone. Use them only on yourself or on a person who has agreed.
- Voice cloning. Before ShowShot will clone a speaker's voice you have to confirm in the app that you have that person's permission. That confirmation is a statement of fact by you. Do not confirm it on someone else's behalf.
- Avatars. Avatar creation goes through our provider's consent step, in which the person being depicted records a spoken consent statement. Attempting to work around that step is a breach of these terms.
- Prohibited uses. Do not use a generated voice or likeness to impersonate someone, to make it appear that a person said something they did not say, to produce political or electoral content presented as genuine, to defraud, or to create sexual or intimate imagery of a real person.
- Disclosure. Where a synthetic voice or avatar could reasonably be mistaken for a real recording of a real person, tell your audience. Some jurisdictions now require this.
- You are responsible for holding the rights to any voice or likeness you process, and you agree to cover claims that arise if you did not.
6. AI features and how they are billed
AI features call third party providers. Two modes exist:

When you supply your own key, your browser calls that provider directly, we do not see the key, and we are not responsible for that provider's charges, availability, or handling of your content. We may add, change, or retire providers and models as the market moves.
Output needs your review. Generated scripts, edits, captions, voices, images, and video can be wrong, biased, or close to existing work. You are responsible for the finished video. Do not treat AI output as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use ShowShot to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so;
- publish content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or sexually exploitative, or that involves minors inappropriately;
- impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent who made a video or when it was made;
- upload malware, or probe, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service;
- resell the service, run it as your own product under another name, or use it to build a competing product;
- scrape the service, or work around usage limits, plan gates, storage caps, or access controls.
We can remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.
8. Regulated data
ShowShot is a general purpose product and is not offered as a compliant environment for regulated data. Do not record or upload protected health information, payment card data, government identifiers, student records, or other data subject to HIPAA, PCI DSS, GLBA, FERPA, or COPPA. We sign no business associate agreement and accept no liability for regulated data you put into the product.
9. Sharing, viewers, and lead data
A share link is the key to that video: whoever holds it can watch. Private means unlisted and not indexed, which is not the same as encrypted, and on some plans a private link expires after a set time.
Where your watch page collects information from viewers, whether that is a comment, a reaction, a form, a call to action, or a webinar registration, that information is yours and we process it for you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it, for telling viewers what you collect, for honoring opt-outs and deletion requests, and for how you use it afterwards. You must not use ShowShot to send unsolicited bulk messages to people whose details you gathered this way.
10. Live, automated, and restreamed sessions
Where the product lets you run a session that is scheduled, automated, or restreamed to another platform, you must not present a recording as a live broadcast in a way that would mislead your audience, and you must comply with the advertising and consumer protection rules that apply to you. Simulated attendance figures, fake chat, and false scarcity claims are not permitted. Restreaming to a third party platform is also subject to that platform's own terms.
11. Plans, storage, credits, and billing
Plans differ in the features they unlock and in how much published storage they carry. The plan you are on, its allowance, and its price are shown in the product and on our pricing page, and those are the terms that apply to your account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Some AI features consume credits. Credits are spent as you use them, carry no cash value, and are not refundable once spent.
- Top-ups add credit to your account, whether you buy them yourself or auto-recharge buys them for you at the amount you set. Purchased credit does not expire at the end of a billing cycle: it stays on the account and carries over until you spend it. Your plan's monthly included allowance is separate and does not carry over, and usage draws on that allowance first. Unspent purchased credit carries no cash value, is not refundable, and is forfeited if the account is closed or terminated.
- Prices, allowances, and plan features can change. We give notice before a change affects a renewal.
- If a payment fails we may downgrade the account until it is settled, which can put you over the allowance for your plan.
- Going over your allowance blocks new publishing until you delete something or upgrade. We warn you by email before anything is removed for age or for exceeding an allowance.
11.1 Refunds and cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time from Settings, Account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period already paid for, and the plan remains available until that period ends.
Refunds are limited as follows. Only the most recent payment on the account is eligible for a refund. That payment is eligible only where, at the time the request is received, no billable activity has occurred in the billing cycle that payment funded, meaning all of the following are true since that payment was taken:
- no views have been recorded on any page published from the account;
- no changes have been made to the account or to its content, including creating, editing, exporting, publishing, or deleting a project, share page, or brand kit, and including changes to plan, team, or settings; and
- no AI credits have been consumed, whether from the plan's monthly allowance or from purchased credit.
Payments other than the most recent are not refundable. Purchased AI credit is not separately refundable, and credit already consumed is not refundable in any circumstance. Where a refund is issued, the plan the payment funded terminates on issue, and any AI credit granted by that payment is removed from the account at the same time.
Refund requests are made from inside the product, under Help, Contact us, and are assessed against the conditions above. An approved refund is returned to the original payment method, and the time it takes to appear is determined by the card issuer or payment provider, not by us.
Nothing in this section limits any right to a refund that you have under applicable consumer protection law and that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where such a right applies, it prevails over this section to the extent of the inconsistency.
What we meter is what you publish, not what your audience watches. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: unpublished projects live in your browser, and clearing browser storage deletes them beyond recovery.
12. Availability
We work to keep ShowShot up and we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features can change, pause, or be retired. If we retire something you depend on we will give reasonable notice and, where we can, a way to export your work. Third party providers can fail independently of us.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using ShowShot and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that creates legal risk, or that is unpaid. On closure, published shares stop working and stored files are deleted, so export anything you want to keep first.
14. No warranty
ShowShot is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, ShowShot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
16. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims brought against us arising from your content, from a voice or likeness you processed without permission, from viewer data you collected through the product, or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ShowShot after that means you accept the new terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a dispute cannot be settled informally, it belongs to the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and both sides consent to that venue.
